Our Story

Kendra and Sean founded IncludED with a shared vision: to equip the community with practical, personalised support to embed inclusive practice, especially for neurodiverse individuals.

Their mission is to build capability from the inside out, offering tailored professional development, hands-on mentoring, and real-time strategies that create meaningful change in the community.

Together, they bring extensive experience in specialist teaching, middle leadership, and senior leadership across diverse learning environments.

With a deep understanding of the New Zealand curriculum, inclusive frameworks, and diversity affirming practices, Kendra and Sean are passionate about walking alongside teams to co-create sustainable, inclusive cultures, one step at a time.

How did we get here?

Inclusive Education

While working in schools, we frequently met passionate educators searching for practical, realistic ways to support students trapped in rigid systems.

We realised that these learners didn't need entirely separate curriculums; they simply required a few intentional, scaffolded modifications to succeed.

Teachers didn’t need more compliance paperwork—they needed accessible tools, actionable strategies, and real-time classroom modelling.

By partnering directly with learning professionals, we demonstrated that environments could achieve massive, sustainable change without burning out.

Ultimately, we proved that true inclusion is entirely achievable simply by working smarter, not harder.

Inclusive Employment

Inclusive Experiences

Our pivot into inclusive employment stems from a deep commitment to ensuring the disability community has every opportunity to thrive in the workforce, finding genuine purpose in their day through both paid and unpaid pathways.

While working on the ground, we observed many exceptional school-based work experience programmes that delivered immense value, only to see that vital momentum teeter off after graduation due to a lack of ongoing, structured support.

IncludEd steps into this critical gap. We provide the continuous, frontline support needed to ensure that transitioning school-leavers and adults with disabilities maintain consistent, long-term access to the workforce.

Our focus on inclusive experiences was born from our time as educators, where we frequently took students into community environments that required significant, exhausting scaffolding just to make them baseline accessible.

We realised that for a truly equitable system to exist, public experiences shouldn't require complex workarounds. They should be universally accessible by design. IncludEd leverages this frontline insight to help organisations reframe their offerings.

By transforming physical spaces, communication tools, and operational structures from the outset, we ensure that community experiences are seamlessly welcoming to everyone, without the need for reactive barriers.
